2012 Low Country Redfish Cup Info

This year your points for the championship this year will be calculated from your team's best three finishes of the four events.

The locations of the events are split this year into two distinct geographic areas - we will hold two events in the Charleston area and two events in the Beaufort/Hilton Head area. The location of the championship this year will be determined by the highest number of participants in the combined area of Charleston or Beaufort/Hilton Head.

You will also notice that we have separated the dates of the events so we can try to take advantage of some of the best times of year to target Redfish. This will also give anglers the summer season off of the tournament trail as summertime is often busy with vacation travel and Summertime is the busy season for our professional guides.

Team of the Year this year for 2012 will be awarded to the team with the highest # of points using your best 3 of 4 events. The team of the year will be awarded a $1,000 prize as well as have their entries paid for the 2013 season compliments of our good friends at Southern Drawl Outfitters. The Team of the year for 2011 was Jared Cleland and Ja Malphrus. They will be fishing this year without paying entry.

Some of our biggest news this year:

• Guaranteed Prize money: Guaranteed Minimum Payout to First Place of $3,000 at every regular event this year.
• Grand Prize: Thanks to the generosity of Butler Marine, Shallow Sport Boats, Yamaha Outboards, Wesco Trailers, and some others(To Be Announced soon) - The winners of the Championship this year will be awarded a 2012 Shallow Sport 18 Sport, with a Yamaha outboard, Wesco trailer, and rigged with some other goodies that we are putting together.
